Slack Integration Guide
Manage customer support directly from Slack threads.
The SlackCare adapter allows you to use a single Slack channel as your support inbox. New customer conversations appear as root messages in the channel, and all replies are synced seamlessly within the thread of that message.
How it works
- Customer sends a message from the widget.
- Bot posts it to your chosen channel (e.g.,
#support-inbox). - Agent replies to the bot's message in a Thread.
- Bot relays the reply back to the customer's widget.
Getting Started
Unlike other platforms where you might need to create your own bot, we provide a pre-built Premex Support Slack App that you can install with one click.
Step 1: Install the App
Go to the Premex Dashboard and create a new product with the SlackCare adapter. You will be prompted to install the app to your workspace.
Note for Developers: If you are self-hosting Premex, you need to configure the Slack App first. Please refer to SETUP_SLACK.md in the repository root.
Step 2: Invite the Bot
After installing, go to your desired support channel (e.g., #support) and invite the bot:
/invite @Premex Support
Step 3: Connect
Select your Workspace and then choose the Support Channel from the dropdown menu in the dashboard.
